The Meibukan Karate Dojo has been serving the Charlottetown Area for almost 30 years. The primary focus of the Dojo is understanding the concept that winning is not important, but learning how not to lose is!
Sensei Brock S. Vickerson
Vickerson Sensei has been training in Gojyu-Ryu Meibukan for over 30 years. Having travelled to Okinawa Japan on several occasions, he has been recognized by the IMGKA ( International Meibukan Gojyu-Ryu Karate-do Association) as a Roku-dan (6th degree Black belt).

In 1998 he co-authored the first English text on Meibukan Gojyu-Ryu with Sensei Carl A. Wheeler and Master YAGI, Meitetsu.

His wife, Norma is his senior student and together they have 2 beautiful girls, Sophia and Olivia.
Sempai Norma J. Vickerson
Sempai Norma has been studying Karate-do for over 20 years. Her skills as a professional educator are a real asset to this Dojo. She also been fortunate to have travelled to Okinawa on many occasions, and in both 1995 and 1997 received personal instruction from our late Master, Dai Sensei YAGI, Meitoku.

In 1995 she competed internationally in Japan for both Kata and Kumite.
She currently holds a Yon-dan Grade (4th. degree Black belt).
